SUMMER EXPERIENCE 2020
May 16 - June 27
(dates are approximate)
During this 6-week internship, you will have the opportunity to serve in urban India alongside key partners. The majority of your time will be spent working with a partner who runs a Children’s tuition center. At this center, children who would normally fall through the cracks in their government school classrooms have the opportunity to learn basic skills needed to break the cycle of poverty. You will have the chance to get to know these sweet children and teach basic English and lessons on other subjects you are passionate about. The children are in classes based on their age and are excited to learn!
In addition to investing in these children, you will be invited to see what normal life looks like in an urban India, hear first-hand about how the women are rehabilitated after being rescued from trafficking, and learn about the longer-term serving opportunities in India.
This internship will be tailored to best accommodate your talents. Serving opportunities include the areas of: Photography/Videography, Music Classes, Business, Social Work, Elementary Education, and ESL/TESOL.
