$29/month allows a child to receive a high-quality education and meals in a Christian environment. The love of Christ shown in this way empowers children with character and skills, giving them more opportunities to care for their families, impact their communities, and learn and grow in the gospel.

There are 2 ways to sign up:

1. Click Here and fill the online form. (If you have a specific child’s photo, enter the Child Code from the photo in the online form.)

2. Send a check to Metro Effect, P.O. Box 173, Adel, IA 50003 made out to "Metro Effect" with "Child Sponsorship" in the memo line. (If you have a specific child’s photo, enter the Child Code from the photo in the memo line as well.)

 

After you begin your sponsorship, you will be given a detailed bio of your child, photo, family information, etc. Please pray for your sponsored child that they would know and love Christ, that they would grow in character and skills, and that God would keep the child and their family safe and healthy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Are my sponsorship donations tax-deductible?

All donations for child sponsorship through Metro Effect are 100% tax-deductible.

What percentage of my $29 per month goes directly to the needs of the child I am sponsoring?

97% ($28.13) goes to the field to pay for the child’s education and food. This is a much higher percentage than many other sponsorship programs. 3% ($0.87) is used for administrative costs, such as credit card fees and our website.

How long will my sponsorship last? What if I discontinue my sponsorship?

We ask sponsors to commit to at least 1 year. If you choose to, you can also keep sponsoring your child all the way through 12th grade. When sponsors discontinue sponsorships, we find replacements so that children can continue to receive care. If you would like to help, but don’t feel that a monthly commitment is right for you, a one-time gift towards the project is always appreciated as well. How can I correspond with my sponsored child?

Letter writing is a great way to stay in touch and develop a connection with your sponsored child.

Am I the only one sponsoring a specific child?

Yes. Others may make donations to the child’s school or ministry project. But while you are sponsoring a child, no one else will be able to sponsor that specific child.
